From http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?371396-Blender-Game-Making-Contest-16-Anouncement! Wait, hold the phone! What IS the BGMC?! The Blender Game Making Challenge (or BGMC for short) is a week-long competition where people of the community make games relevant to contest's theme. It's secondary purpose is to encourage people to improve, either by trying to make something you've never tried making before, working with time-restraints or trying to aim for a specific style. For more information on the BGMC and previous contests check out http://www.bgmc.info/ Theme The goal is to make a stealth game. This could be sneaking past guards, hiding in the shadows, avoiding making noise, trying to get a top secret file, breaking out of prison, flying a stealth plane, or trying to steal a pie without being caught. Rules No limits - you can use as many polys, textures, GLSL filters and scripts as you like. But remember that others need to be able t...

The votes are in for the Blender game making contest 15 and I'd like to announce the winners: 1st place was Planet Smasher by Battery. We've got some prizes around here somewhere for you, congratulations! I thought the game was very well realized for a 7 day game jam with lots of options and smooth gameplay. 2nd place goes to Mechatronic by Thatimster. The game was great, with really nice graphics and fitting special effects. 3rd place goes to Robo Lad In the Lab by Wallmaster. A really good result since Wallmaster came to the competition late and only had 2 nights to work on the game. Congratulations also to RockyMadio's Kaily - the Canceller which only missed 3rd place by 1 vote. It was a gorgeous game and I'll certainly be following RockyMadio's other projects from here on. If anyone else would like to see yo...

The Theme/Rules: Your goal is to create (or re-create) something from the N64-era. The rules are: 1- Max 150,000 polys. I don't think anyone will actually exceed the limit, so try your best to stick to the low-poly style of the N64 2- Textures should be 32x64 pixels 3- Any assets created before the competition should be available for the community to use. Blender Game Making Challenge 13 - Theme announcement

THE CHALLENGE: The blender game making challenge is pretty simple. Make a complete game, using the blender game engine, start and finish, in a week. The official start is Sunday the 17th, 12:01 AM and it ends Saturday the 23rd at midnight. The challenge is a competition amongst your peers, but also a challenge to yourself, to push your planning, game making, and polishing skills out of your normal comfort zone. This is how we improve. THE THEME: It’s easy to make a game using the full force of your modern computer, but it’s harder when you must develop for a specific platform/console. This game making challenge will revolve around hardware requirements and resource allocation for one of the first consoles capable of 3d: the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. This way you may not be fully able to rely on amazing graphics and HD modeling to make your game good (prove me wrong) so your game might have to rely on solid gameplay mechanics instead. Here are the slightly modifie...

BGMC 12 Theme Announced!

Hey, all, Joystik Studios with an update to the challenge. The theme has been announced! Here it is: Olympic Sports! With the winter Olympics recently over in Socii, Russia, I decided to have you guys make game themed off of those sports. This would also include summer Olympic sports. Here are the rules: You have to choose one sport from this list  to make a game of. It can be from the Summer or Winter category. You may only use resources that you have created during the week you have to make your game, except for pre-written python scripts. Any resources from the Game Engine Resources section are alright, too. You must announce where you got your pre-made resources if you used any, so that others can use them too. The only exception to this is this basemesh , because I know what a pain character modeling is. There is another link on the page to a female version if you like. They are low-poly and game ready. The reason I chose this theme is because of how hard physics are in ...

BGMC 12 Is Coming Soon!

Hey, all! This is Joystik Studios, the winner of the last BGMC, and I will be organizing this one. The challenge will be held on the 10th of March, 2014. The theme will be announced the day before the challenge. For those of you who are new to this challenge, the BGMC is the Blender Game Making Challenge, a week long challenge where Blender users make a game based off the theme. The winners are chosen by a judging panel and prizes are distributed to the winners. The judges consist of, do far, 3 people. Myself, Thatimster, and a SixGunBen, who is not on Blenderartists or anything as of yet. Now, I've got my own reasons why I chose these judges. First, we have Thatimster, who is pretty self-explanatory. I mean, come on, it's Thatimster! I'm pretty self-explanatory, too. SixGunBen is a Blender user but is not an avid game developer, however, he is an extreme gamer. This will give him some extra insight into how good gameplay and graphics are and such. Sinan, another game d...

Download Bako and the spirit of rain souce file - Download Bako and the spirit of rain -  wip thread  - Rated : 8.4/10 The goal for now is to collect 15 cloud scattered on the ground and back to the village to irrigate fields (the end is unfortunately bugged). -You can use the horse to go faster (too buggy after the first use). -There just has a lion in the square (not able to put more), you can kill him. -The animation of the horse and the panther was not accomplished due to time constraints. -There is no sound effect for the character or other entity. -Quick tip: the ground is a little large but you will find the cloud where there has rock and foliage. ________________________________________________________ \\\I don't Made/// 2D Filters By Martinsh And other script. Kroker by PerEriksson

Download Kroker - wip thread Rated : 0/10 So I have finished my game, haven't made so much update here because I got school and I had to work with the project. This game is about Kroker, the character you play who is running the farm, there isn't tons of futures but the futures I have finished is well programed and well builded with a lot of nodes (about 100-300 nodes i'm not sure) and also some scripts. The genre is nature and simulation. You can buy seeds and plant them at a field. When they have growth can you press H and harvest them You can pick up an axe and chop wood. You can buy nails. When you have enough money, wood and nails so can you buy a new warehouse and a tractor. There are some well worked textures, I really succeeded with the grass after I baked the AO and the SH so I actually could compare it with grass texture in the cryengine engine, and it wasn't much difference between the quality in real time all the buildings are UV mapped. The...
